The world presents love as a feeling...
a feeling that comes and goes.
They think, "i have a feeling of infatuation, so ill say, 'i love you'."
But that's not love.
Love is a commitment; love is a decision.
Love is love...even when you don't feel like it.
Love is love...even if the other person isn't very lovable.
And i encourage you to not say, "i love you" to just anyone, unless you truly...
TRULY mean it.
And quite frankly...ready to use it for the rest of your life.
Because the word "love" is both, very important and has a powerful meaning.
We use it for family members usually, right!?...
Because they're family, they're usually with us for the rest of our life. :)
We use it for our other-half...
I trust you treat it with the respect that God does.
See, it cost God His very own Son.
That's how much that word, "love" means to Him. :)
We say, " i love you" but the way the world uses it, you probably could replace it equally with the word "lust".
When saying, "i love you" really, the world is saying, "i lust after you."
In God's definition of love, when He says, "i love you" He says...
"i want to give myself for you." :)
What the world says, when saying, "i love you" is...
"i want what you can give to me."
God says, "i want to gratify you. i want to fulfill yours needs."
The world says, "I want you to gratify me. I want you to fulfill my needs."
When saying, "i love you".
Love is giving; lust is getting.
Lust can't wait to get...
while...
Love can't wait to give.
Also, if you're in a relationship and the person tells you, "i love you"...
if they are not willing to abide by your standards
and your principles, then, they don't love you...
they don't love you one bit.
And it's disgusting to hear a person say, "i love you", but they don't respect you.
a feeling that comes and goes.
